Suzuki iV-4 /YAD

Spotted Testing in France

Suzuki continues testing their new B-Segment SUV ahead of its launch at Paris Motor Show this year.

Suzuki has been working on the production version of their iV4 concept under the codename "YAD". The model is now in the final stage of development, with trial production already beginning in Magyar Suzuki's Hungary plant in the summer of this year.

Recently, a reader of Auto Plus in France caught a prototype of the YAD testing. The spy shots did not reveal much of the car's exterior, as the car was highly camouflaged, but it did reveal several new details, such as the LED running lights present in the front bumper.

This is not the first time the YAD has been spotted testing. Last week, a prototype was spotted in Germany, while a few months ago it was seen winter testing in Europe.

The production version of the iV4 will be unveiled at Paris Motor Show next October, with mass production commencing in early 2016. The YAD will be a global product sold in various markets all over the world. Production in Hungary and China has been confirmed.

Not much was revealed as the car was highly camouflaged
Not much technical details have been known about the YAD, but it is expected to be powered by a choice of a 1.6 litre petrol and a 1.6 litre diesel, mated with either manual or automatic transmission. An all wheel drive version featuring Suzuki's new All Grip technology will also be available.
